Little Lyrics
Music is one of the most important skills to develop in a child. Self esteem, pride and creativity are all developed to enhance a rounded and well balanced person. It has been documented that playing a musical instrument assists children in developing sharp mental acuity, abstract thought processes and creativity like no other activity.
Little Lyrics is a collection of four classes to aid in your child's complete musical development. Learning music at a young age fosters cognitive and academic growth and aids in fine motor skill development. Starting music education at a young age is critical for all children, regardless if the child will study an instrument at a later age. Music Education is important for young children for a variety of reasons. “Mozart Effect”…this is the theory that by listening to and playing Mozart (and all classical music) children will develop an increase in spatial-I.Q. ability and cognitive learning patterns. This theory has been proven by hundreds of doctors and researchers – and the research continually shows that being exposed to musical structures does develop cognitive learning skills, motor skills and academic learning ability in such areas as math and science.
All instruction is delivered in our Little Lyrics room which has been designed to provide a safe, bright, cheerful and fun place for the children to learn and play.
